It’s easily accessible given that the highway goes all the way from Subotica to Belgrade.

SUBOTICA SERBIA

The place is not big with a population of slightly over 100,000 but its architecture and charm make it special. Here are a few best-known landmarks of Subotica Serbia.
The city houses one of the most beautiful synagogues in this part of Europe that was built in 1902. According to its artistic value, this is the only Synagogue in Europe with Hungarian Art Nouveau elements. Its façade is adorned by floral decoration displayed as peacock feathers, tulips, roses. Similar ornaments can be found inside bordering windows and arches.

After the building is reconstructed in 2018, it became one of the busiest tourist sites in Subotica.

Another colorful building is the Raichle Family Palace that visitors first stumble upon when coming by train. Architect Raichle Ferenc didn’t want his palace to be designed according to established rules and patterns. He created a wonderful structure with a lovely floral façade, grand premises, and balcons. The building nowadays houses Subotica’s Modern Art Gallery with a cozy café in the courtyard.

The thing that distinguishes Subotica from other European cities, is the fact that its center is not dominated by a church but a City Hall. This is another structure built and decorated in Hungarian Art Nouveau style between 1908 and 1910. Its grandness turned it into a true landmark of Subotica Serbia.

There are other façades to admire while walking around the city. Make sure not to miss the Town Tenement Palace with its Vienna Secession architecture style, Miksa Domotor Tenement Palace, Simeon Leović Tenement Palace, Subotica Savings Bank Palace, Dušan Stojković Palace, etc.

Not only that you will enjoy taking a walk in the old park, that the National Park is home to several protected species, but there are also a few buildings of exceptional architectural value. Palić has a long tradition as a spa and resort.

The Grand Terrace is one of the most important buildings here. It was erected in 1912 in secession style. This is now the popular congress center in the area.
Not far from the Grand Terrace and the Water Tower, there is a simple facility with an interesting function. This is the Music Pavilion where small promenade concerts were played every morning and afternoon. Famous musicians from Subotica Serbia and Hungary played here.

When it comes to water sports and nature, there are ways to take a boat ride or sail across the lake. Visitors who are into fishing can spend some unforgettable moments by the lake.
